Annia Burqué is a painter, watercolorist, and illustrator. With a background in screen printing, her artistic journey has been marked by a constant search for experiences and stimuli, leading her to live in various locations across Spain and Europe. Her creative process is rooted in the interaction between memory, the collective unconscious, and everyday experiences, with a deep connection to nature. In 2006, she moved to Lanzarote, where the volcanic landscape, the integration of culture with the environment, and the island’s unhurried rhythm allowed her to develop a unique pictorial language. Her work continues to evolve, always in dialogue with her surroundings, society, and human emotions, exploring new forms of expression and connection with the viewer. Since 2014, she has held several exhibitions on the island of Lanzarote and has attended art fairs such as The Other Art Fair in Bristol in 2018. In 2022, she participated in the Urban Art Ruellan Auction in Vannes (France), further consolidating her international presence. She currently holds an artist quota in France, allowing her to develop her professional activity in the country. Since 2017, she has been professionally dedicated to painting, with a sales point in Villa de Teguise. Her work, spanning both abstract art and figurative watercolor and illustration, is available for purchase at various locations on the island, including Galería Artenmala and Bodega Stratvs, and is also part of private collections across five continents.

Contemporary of the squatter movement in the 90s , I lived in an environment that encouraged my introduction to painting; musicians, photographers, writers, dancers, clowns and all kings of artists invited reflection and criticism to me. This was the breeding ground for development of my personality as creator,
